The House Is Black
در اثر چندرسانه‌ای و صحنه‌ای The House Is Black که از نوشته‌های فروغ فرخزاد الهام می‌گیرد، دیهیم و Richard Horowitz موسیقی را مشترکاً ساختند.۱۴ دیهیم روند ساخت را از شعر آغاز می‌کند: نخست ملودی‌های آوازی را می‌سازد و بعد ریتم، بافت و الگوهای ضربی را با توجه به ظرافت‌های شعر شکل می‌دهد. در تمرین با نوازندگان، بخش‌هایی را که بیش از حد تحت‌اللفظی به نظر برسند تغییر می‌دهد و گاهی صدا را به سوی بیان انتزاعی‌تر یا الکترونیک‌تر می‌برد. او و Horowitz صداها و دسته‌بندی‌هایی را با هم ردوبدل می‌کنند و برای سکوت و فضا نیز جا می‌گذارند.۵
همکاری در ضبط‌ها و تصویر
ضبط‌های گردآمده در The Invisible Road: Original Recordings, 1985–1990 به دیهیم و Horowitz نسبت داده شده‌اند و آهنگ‌سازی همهٔ قطعه‌ها از هر دوی آن‌هاست.۶ در Majoun، دیهیم به‌عنوان خواننده و Horowitz به‌عنوان آهنگساز معرفی شده‌اند؛ دیهیم بعدها گفت آلبوم بیشتر اثر Horowitz بود و او در آن آواز خواند.۷۵
وقتی قرار بود از Madman of God ریمیکس ساخته شود، دیهیم درخواست کرد با Bill Laswell کار کند. Laswell فکر می‌کرد آلبوم نیازی به ریمیکس ندارد، اما او و Karsh Kale ایده‌های تازه‌ای ساختند؛ Shy Angels بازآفرینی Laswell از کل آن آلبوم شد.۸۵۹

در Songs from UR، دیهیم و Torsten Rasch آهنگ‌سازی را مشترکاً انجام می‌دهند و آوازها و درون‌ها از دیهیم است.۱۱ در موسیقی متن Once Within A Time، دیهیم و Philip Glass نام مشترک دارند و سهم دیهیم آوازهای افزوده و همکاری صوتی است. در «Clarion Call» اعتبار آهنگ‌سازی به هر دوی آن‌ها می‌رسد.۱۲۱۳

Your background includes music, dance, theatre and performance art. You started out, as a child, as part of the national ballet company of Iran.
The expertise of the company was varied including contemporary classical choreography with music by composers such as Edgar Varese, Bela Bartok and so on, as well as incorporating Iranian folkloric dance and music to vitalize the importance of the traditional roots in the field.
So between the two worlds of the old and the contemporary, my view was shaped.

I’d come up with vocal melodies first and then determine what kind of rhythms and melodies could be based on the poem.
I might make things a little more abstract after that, or a little more electronic.
We exchange sounds and groupings.
I also have an infatuation with silence and the atmospheric elements of things.
It was mostly Richard’s album on which I sang.
When my album Madman of God came out, I was supposed to do a remix. I told Crammed Records that I wanted to work with Bill and they got really excited. Bill agreed, but really liked the album and felt it didn’t need remixing. But he got together with Karsh Kale and came up with some great ideas.
