Formation and lineup
Accounts give different starting dates. In a 2014 interview, Azimi dated the group’s formation with friends to 1387 in the Solar Hijri calendar; Radio Zamaneh later gave 1388. The biography published by Contemporary Iranian describes earlier names and lineups and says the band’s then-current form took shape in 2009.342
That biography names Pedram Afshin on lead guitar, Hesam Garshasbi on bass and Payam Hashemi on drums, all with backing vocals, alongside Azimi.2 In a 2016 interview, Azimi said Radio Tehran had worked underground without seeking official permission because of censorship.5

The biography describes 88 as a collection of old and new material released in March 2010. Apple Music lists 15 April 2010, ten tracks and a running time of 43 minutes. These release dates differ.26
Later concerts and solo work
In his 1392 Solar Hijri interview with Rooz, Azimi named later concert players مارال محمدی on cello and backing vocals, صالح زارعی on bass and جیسون on drums.1 Asked whether Radio Tehran had ended, he described it at that time as an unfinished, open project.1 His official biography calls Radio Tehran his former band.7
